On-line Classes
Description:
To better serve our local congregation and our internet community, we have begun offering on-line classes ("webinars") that will be interactive with a "live" instructor and attended by a community whose boundaries are defined only by the internet. Using the latest, easy-to-use "internet classroom technology" the students gain a sense of community even though each student is attending from their own home (or hotel room, RV or resort in the case of traveling students).
For those interested in or enrolled in Unity Institute's personal development program, many classes will be offered for SEE (Spiritual Education and Enrichment program) credit. Check in the particular class' description for this information.
Scheduled to Begin: Classes are being held now. Check the top of the available class list for the most recent classes scheduled.
Duration: Typically, classes will meet for two hours each week. The classes will typically last for four to eight weeks, depending upon the topic.
Tuition: Depending upon the length of class -- tuition is typically priced at $10/class session plus a $10 registration/training fee. Payment may be provided by credit card or PayPal through the individual Sunday Talks page of this website. SEE credit is provided for an additional Unity Institute registration fee of $36.
Facilitator: Rev. David Ridge
Materials Required: A personal computer, a webcam with microphone and a pair of earbuds or earphones (or an integrated mic/earphones headset) attached to your PC, and a broadband internet connection. The internet "classroom location" will be provided at the time of registration. Training in the use of the internet classroom will be provided with both a prerecorded on-line tutorial and a one-on-one session prior to the first class. This training must be completed prior to the first scheduled class.
