Knocking on the Door of Silence -- Building a Life of Meaningful Prayer

Description:  What happened when, after fervently praying for a particular outcome, your prayerful desires did not come true?  Was God "asleep at the wheel?"  Or is She not as powerful as we've been led to believe?  Or did He just not care to answer your prayer?  What are prayers good for if they don't bring about the desired result?

The way in which we pray reveals our deeply held beliefs of who we are and the relationship we have with God.  Attending to the way we pray helps us be aware of those beliefs and, if we so choose, change them.

Fulfills voting membership class prerequisites.

Materials Required:  No materials are required.  The Bible is recommended.  Any translation with which you are comfortable is appropriate.  The New Revised Standard Version is used by the instructor.
