Peace Begins with Me

Description:

"Nonviolent Communication -- A Language of Life" by Marshall Rosenberg, describes a straightforward method of building compassionate, peaceful relationships and eliminating destructive personal interactions from one's life.  The dynamics of effective communication are clearly described to allow the practitioner an immediately available tool to enhance every relationship, from the casual to the intimate.

Rosenberg shows us the components of effective communication, how to honestly express one's feelings, needs, and wants and how to listen with empathy to the feelings, needs and wants of others.

Each week, beginning March 7, 2004, the Sunday talk will explore the shift of understanding, the activity of relating to another and the ways to extend and enhance the understanding of this new way of relating.  Either as a member of an in-home study group, or on your own, we hope you will find our weekly theme questions (distributed during the Sunday service and available at the links below) both thoughtful and provocative.
