Have you ever wanted to share your thoughts about spiritual matters with like-minded, inquisitive people but had no one that could relate to what you were saying? Have you been looking for a group in which the conversation was about something OTHER THAN politics, careers, gossip, or the latest ‘big boy toys’? Have you yearned for a community where you could feel comfortable sharing your doubts while feeling empowered to explore new ideas?

Spirit Circles Foster Inquiry

Spirit Circles are attended by those that, perhaps just like you, are looking for a place to discuss matters that are important to their spiritual journey in an atmosphere of open inquiry and non-judgment. Spirit Circles provide a “safe place” where your inner thoughts can be expressed and discussed, where you are prayerfully supported in your journey, and where the focus is on applying spiritual principles in “real life”. Participants are encouraged to discover their own Truth and given permission to change their mind -- if they choose.

Meets in Informal Setting

The weekly meetings are held in homes located around the Denver metro area. Each meeting of Spirit Circles will include a time to share your present challenges and celebrations, discuss a specific topic for the week and gather in a supportive prayer circle with the others present.

The Circles are led by trained facilitators and are focused on topics that most seekers can relate to, such as: “How can I use forgiveness at my job?”, “How can I follow Spirit’s guidance in a world screaming the supremacy of the ego?”, “What are ‘constructive’ ways of grieving?”, “How do I let go of ‘religious rules’ in favor of ‘spiritual principles’?”, “How can I find my True Purpose in my life?”. Participants in similar groups have found that nowhere else have they been able to share their most closely held ideas and thoughts. The ‘safe space’ is ensured with each participant signing and honoring the Spirit Circles Agreement.

How Much Does It Cost?

There is no charge for participation in Spirit Circles (i.e. no ‘door fee’ or ‘collection’ is taken). While one result of an expanded consciousness is the recognition that financial support of the source of one’s spiritual sustenance is an important aspect of the spiritual journey, there are other ways for doing that, thus it is not done in the Spirit Circles.

Spirit Circles Agreement

The following values are important to the success of Spirit Circles and are agreed upon by all participants:

· Confidentiality: that which is shared in Spirit Circles is strictly confidential.
· Attendance: each gives priority to the Spirit Circle meetings and notifies the facilitator in the event of an absence.
· Acceptance: each is not there to “fix” others, to counsel others or to recommend ‘solutions’ or ‘actions’ to their challenges.
· Feelings: others’ feelings are treated with respect and compassion.
· Okay to ‘Pass’: sharing personal experiences and reaction to those experiences are important on the spiritual journey but participants may choose from time to time not to share.
· Okay to Disagree: each agrees to not attempt to convince others of the ‘correctness’ of one’s own opinion.
· Responsibility: each speaks only for themselves (using ‘I statements’) and listens attentively and openly to others.
· Balance: each releases the desire to be the center of attention or the focus of the discussion.
· Touch: each declares her/his own physical boundaries and respects others’ as well.
· Prayer Support: each willingly and prayerfully supports others in their journey.
