Making a Difference

The Making a Difference Team is dedicated to social action.  The projects arise and are engaged according to the desires of the team and according to the mission of this church, as symbolized by its logo. If you would like to participate in the team, please email the church. Even if you are located elsewhere, you may participate in the email discussion and engage similar projects in your local community.

To offer feedback, specific expertise or passionate participation, you may contact the team.

The project currently scheduled:

9 Cares, Colorado Shares:

The Making a Difference Team put together two successful projects over the last few months:  a Paint-a-thon and the Food Community Project.  We are moving forward to get involved in a Food Drive to feed the hungry with the 9Cares Colorado Shares Holiday Drive.  We are asking you to take the challenge to collect as much food as possible and the organization that collects as much food as possible during this challenge will win the challenge and be recognized on Channel 9 News.

Please consider donating some type of nonperishable food items prior to November 9.

Boxes for your donations are visible in the Living Water Unity Church.

Food banks need items that are high in protein the most.  Tuna fish, peanut butter, beans, nuts, canned stews, and canned meat are perfect.  Cans are perfect and please avoid glass jars.  Online donations can be made as well by going to www.compafoodministry.org and clicking on the “online food drive”.  Please specify Living Water Unity in the “organization” field and put 9Cares in the “on behalf of field”.  And checks can be made to “9Cares Colorado Shares”.

Here is a shopping list of suggested donated items:
