1. DR called meeting to order at 12:20 p.m. with the Opening Prayer.
2. Review of minutes of last Board meeting by KJ: The minutes were read as submitted. Motion to accept the minutes by PD, second by CJ.
3. Treasurer’s Report is not yet available. We will review it by e-mail as soon as possible.
4. Update on Bi-Monthly newsletter: The subject of Pam’s article will be “Thanks For Giving”. The newsletter will probably be distributed the second week in November. We will address the next board contribution at November’s meeting.
5. Project Coordinator – Night at the Improv.: MM will coordinate. He will call Karen Hokr to get notes on last year’s event. The event will be held February 8, 2003. Motion by DR, second by MM.
6. Update on Sunday School volunteer reference checking: PS will see what information is available through credit reporting agencies. CBI might be best for in state information. We will give Stephanie feedback on the Children and Teen Program materials by e-mail this week.
7. Administrative assistance to fill David Cowles’ term: MM will fill the term until elections December 1st. CJ and PD will be board members on the nomination committee. They will select a congregant to serve on the committee. Nominees will be selected by November 24th. Motion to appoint by DR, second by PS.
8. Tithe recipient information poster: Pam will work on it this week. It will be made so that information can be changed monthly.
9. Tithe candidates for September: Alternatives to Family Violence ($253) and Unity Pathways of Aurora ($168). Motion by DR, second by MM.
10. Teen group update: Patrick and Mary will take them to the rock-climbing wall at Westminster Recreation Center next Sunday.
11. Next month’s fundraiser at Adams County Fairgrounds: There will be a planning meeting Sunday, November 3rd after the service. Motion by PS, second by DR.
12. New Church space at 64th and Indiana: The space is located in a ten year old industrial park. The main area is 1300 square feet. There are also offices available. It would be available during the week. We could have it for up to three years. There is no easy way for the established congregation to get there. We will tour the space before giving it further consideration.
13. Motion to adjourn at 2:07 p.m. by PD, second by MM. Next meeting November 15th.
