Minutes of the Meetings -- September 21, 2003

Easing In:

PS called meeting to order at 12:53 p.m. Opening Prayer by DR.

Review of minutes of last Board meeting by KJ: The minutes were read as submitted.  Motion to accept the minutes by DC, second by PD.  Motion passed.

Treasurer’s Report presented by DC.  Motion to approve report by PD, second by KJ.  Motion passed.

Old Business:

1. Building acquisition update by DR

2. Update Fundraising opportunities by PD:  Albertson’s cards have been ordered. We will receive 3% or a maximum of $1800 per quarter.  The King Soopers certificates are available with denominations as low as $5.  Five respondents to the shopping survey shop at Albertson’s and eleven shop at King Soopers.  We must buy $5000 worth of King Soopers certificates to earn 3%.  Motion to initiate the King Soopers program with $1000 investment from the Building fund account by PD, second by DR.  Motion unanimously accepted.

      The food concession fundraiser at Adams County Fairgrounds will be Friday and Saturday, October 17 and 18.

3.   Review of prior six months’ budget performance:  Motion to postpone by DR, second by KJ.  Motion passed.

New Business:

4.  David’s Compensation:  Draw some cash from the building fund:  Motion to borrow $2400/month from the fund by DR, second by KJ.  Motion passed.

5.   Tithes to community and Unity groups for September:  Family Tree and Unity Village.        Motion by DR, second by PD.  Motion passed.
