Minutes of the Meetings -- March 23, 2003

1. DR called meeting to order at 12:45 p.m. with the Opening Prayer.
2. Review of minutes of last Board meeting by KJ: The minutes were submitted as read. Motion to accept the minutes by DR, second by DC.
3. Treasurer’s Report presented by DC: Money is owed to several funds. We will pay back the building fund first and Youth Ed second. Motion to approve report by PD, second by KJ.
4. The next Board meeting will be held on April 27th because April 20th is Easter.
5. Newsletter – Deborah has the template.
6. Board Retreat – Currently scheduled for June 27th and 28th with Barbara O’Hearn. The cost is $135 per ministry and $20 per participant. At this point four ministers have declined. DR will contact the remaining four this week.
7. We are not yet prepared to discuss the Ministry Plan.
8. The toy show at Adams County fairgrounds will be on May 10th. We will again run the food booth as a fundraiser. Patrick will call Melissa at Adams County. Pam will call Jefferson County Fairgrounds about possible fundraisers there.
9. We will pass the guest register around during the service next Sunday to encourage all guests to sign it. KJ will pass it.
10. Tithe candidates for March: The total tithe is $354, $212 to Rainbow Bridge and $142 to Unity of India.
11. New Logo: John Brisnehan has designed several possible new logos which will be easier to print in monochrome and more quickly recognized than the current logo. We will choose one.
Motion to adjourn at 1:58 p.m. by DC, second by PD. The next meeting will be April 27th.
