The meeting was called to order by PD at 7:00 p.m.
Opening prayer by .
Review of minutes of the last Board Meeting by those present. Motion to approve as amended by DR, second by PD. Motion passed. JG agreed to make the revisions and additions.
Operating Statement & the AUC report, the Financial Report were presented by DR. Motion to approve by PD, second by JG. Motion passed.
We are five months behind in accrued tithes, a total of $7,316 total to date. In January the ministers salary continued to be accruing, not paid, the minister’s salary. JG made a motion to approve the budget with the reservation that the fund-raising program urgently needs to move forward. PD seconded it. The motion was approved
It was noted that it is important for the board to participate in the fund raising efforts.
John Polich resigned from the Awareness Committee. He will work on a brochure. The brochure will describe the benefits enjoyed by the congregation. Volunteers from the congregation will meet after Sunday service to provide inspiration for the brochure.
It was proposed that the minister and several committee members will visit congregation members to explain our financial situation and ask for their contribution.
Jeff noted that it is important to have a detailed a ministry plan consolidated and updated. He offered to help with consolidating these documents.
We have a trial ad in the Arvada weekly paper. The first publication was Thursday. The trial will run one month. We have a two inch by one column. We have a new ad for the Arvada phone book with a cost of $80 per month (Dex). We have an ad consultant who is helping design a new ad. We will not advertise the book store. We have a Google ad to bring visitors to our web site with a budget of $4.00 per day. Twenty-two visits and up to forty-five recently. The Google ad appears to improve the numbers of visits. We are getting more pieces together for a simulated Sunday service i.e. the participant can pick up all of the components of a Sunday service.
We have seven Chaplains who appear to be in the program. Responsibilities to cover 2 Sunday services per month and two hours per month of wellness calls to 20 congregants.
Katie Rucker has accepted the position of Director Youth Education Department
Holly Hedman has resigned from the Youth Ed Program and resigned from the church
Web site and Internet presence. Most of the components are in place for an Internet Sunday service.
Tithes:
Tithes to Bread for the Journey, $539; Unity of the Mountains in Avon, $359 for a total of $898.
PD made a motion to adjourn 8:46 and DR seconded it. All approved. A prayer concluded the meeting.
